To start with, Broccoli is a member of the wider cabbage family, and resembles cauliflower every bit of it. The name Broccoli is of Italian origin, and means the flower top a cabbage. This is its true reference clearly denotes the part that makes broccoli the vegetable that it is, its top flowery part. There are many ways of preparing Broccoli, but the most common method that tends to get the best out of this Italian cabbage is steaming. steamed broccoli retains much of its nutrients, as compared to other methods, which may lead to the loss of some of the vital ingredients. Still, it can be eaten raw, plainly or incorporated into salad. All the same, Broccoli has numerous health benefits, which makes it one of the most treasure vegetable all over the world.
